In fact, we’re having a lot of fun! Check out our video below:
What happens during a day at camp?
It all starts at 7:30 a.m. (7 a.m. for staff!) with the bugle. Campers get ready and “catch up” with their division for Morning Watch (personal devotional time).
After Morning Watch, campers go down to flag raising and then to breakfast.
Capers (camper chores) are next. Then, at the first bugle, Challengers and Explorers go to Bible Exploration, and Pathfinders and Trailblazers go to their first activity. During second activity, Pathfinders and Trailblazers have Bible Ex, and Challengers and Explorers go to their activity.
During flex time, campers can hang out with their friends or play gaga or tetherball. Then there’s lunch and kick-back time (rest hour).
After kick-back time is free time! Campers can stay in their divisions or go to the waterfront, the nature nest, or the rec hall area for free time.
Then we have third and fourth activity!
After activities are done, there’s cabin time. Cabin and tent groups spend this time with each other. Popular cabin time activities include counselor dress-up, swimming and Wally’s Island, or making cookies.
Dinner is next! Most nights, dinner is in the dining hall, but on Tuesdays, we have cookouts. After dinner, campers go to their evening programs. Evening programs are usually broken up by division, but once a week, we have an all-camp activity. The day often ends with a campfire, songfest, and message.
