We are pleased to announce Danielle Hedgepeth, our Insider Mom, as the newest member of our board! Danielle has been involved with camp for many years. Here, she answers some of our questions and talks about living in small groups at camp.
Bird Name: Olli
What is your history with camp?
I started as a camper when I was in third grade, was a CILT, and then a counselor in Raccoon Cabin! I was on staff for 21 summers in various roles and worked for camp year-round for 13 years.
Why did you want to serve on the camp board?
I love camp! I’m thrilled that I’m able to serve camp in this new way and help it continue to be a place where girls learn to follow Jesus and be leaders.
What are you up to these days?
I am the Director of Children’s Ministries at Loudonville Community Church, located just north of Albany, NY.
What’s your favorite camp memory?
I have to pick ONE from 28 years of camp? That is way too hard. But every favorite memory includes good friends – who are still the best kind of friends.
What’s one interesting fact about you?
My daughters are fourth-generation Cedarbrook women. My grandmother was involved with the start of camp, my mother was a camper and staff member, and now both of my daughters are campers. That’s all of us in the picture (and my aunt too).
