Easily the most popular cabin time activity at camp is dragging your counselor to the costume closet to dress her up. Depending on the personality of the cabin, she can be dressed as a princess or as a hideous beast, complete with makeup or facepaint or a mask.
One year, we did a counselor dress up with our Counselor in Leadership Training and our counselor. We, for whatever reason, didn’t actually plan to go to the costume closet, however. Instead, we decided to make what we called “The It”. We tied the two of them together at the waist with a piece of rope, then draped and taped towels all around them so they looked like a two headed beast. We made cones out of construction paper and used them as beaks and horns, and considered our work done. The poor counselors had to sit through an entire meal, eating one handed and sitting practically on the same chair. They were good sports, and we (of course) thought it was hilarious.
